Evolution of WebileApps

Its interesting to recall and remind ourselves of how things happened in the past and try connecting the dots. Sometimes it makes us smile and think “It’s funny” and sometimes we think “Ohh God that was Stupid”. Nevertheless we believe the journey is important and how the places less traveled were explored.

In that context we are really proud to look back and cherish how we came so far. It’s been almost more than 2 years we started the journey of WebileApps and the WebileApps brand has evolved with us too.

I take this time to look at what we did with our websites and share a laugh with you looking at some of our initial websites ;)

Now What’s Next ?

In this New Year we feel it’s time for a REDESIGN and a NEW FRESH LOOK. But this time we are going to do things differently. We asked the question “Why not the BRAND be the choice of YOUR taste and opinion ?” Sowhat are you waiting for, please take few minutes of your time and let us know which one you like from the below designs.

We were thinking of a “Minimalistic” theme. If you have a different idea let us know.

We have two different Versions of “Mockups” below.

  • Version “Interesting Let me Check this out
  • Version “WoW this is nice

  1. The 2009 model is pretty much bare bones. And much of the real-estate on the top is left unused.

The 2010 model certainly designed from scratch & custom. Good tag-lines added the flavor.

The 2011 has a good color schema. While, the UI is very much used across the web.

The “Mockup “Interesting Let me Check this out”” is good. But, the top-menu-bar and the bottom-sections are too standard. And makes it just one of a website.

The “Mockup “WoW this is nice”” is a step in the right direction. The background, much like the 2009 version gives the unlimitedness/wide-openness . Like the the top-links (Home, About) not being enclosed in a box. The font-sizes (typography) is used to good-effect. The only thing that looks alien in the page are the 5-small-circles at bottom-left. What do they mean ? Also, the black-boxes on the left seem obstructing the intended-background. Why not chose a different place for them ?

  2. @Satya..
complete agreed with ur detailed analysis.
and i almost have the same thoughts about the last mockup “wow this is nice”….

  3. I vote for mock up “WoW this is nice”

  4. I felt the Mockup “Interesting let me check this out” is more professional for a Company.
Mockup “Wow this is nice” is more attractive than its main Original Content.

First of all, I appreciate the idea of considering the taste and opinion of all of us in finalizing the web-design of our company’s website.

Having a look at both the versions, I feel that the Mockup “Interesting let me check this out” looks very professional. Its looks very prominent and clear for any customer who visits the website; I can say for a layman also. The website is very impressive indeed, the section right under the circular navigation buttons being the best.

Few things that I felt negative were that at the first glance, the font for “We provide Software Design and development services for iPhone and Andriod” seems to be inconsistent, though the purpose of its inconsistency is understood later. And also I feel that the total white background makes it look kinda subtle. One more negative which caught my eye was the section with the content ABOUT, MOST VIEWED, GET IN TOUCH, the whole box being colored with grey background with white text, looks out-of-place from the remaining webpage. Next one is that the length of the menu bar (where the home, work, apps, etc are there) could have been the same as the web-page though you need not have to spread the main menu buttons all over the menu bar, you can have the buttons to only some extent, but the background bar could have been more lengthier.

Prashanthi, Thanks for your detailed feedback. We are working on the typography, colors and other subtle things which add lot of value to the website. We plan to have the balance between the design and the usability and with the redesigned website we would like the users to say “Wow this is nice, Let me check this out” :)
